Killyleagh is a picturesque village on the western shores of Strangford Lough, dominated by its magnificent castle - Ireland's oldest occupied castle dating from the 12th century. With a population of around 2,500, the village offers a perfect blend of history, natural beauty, and modern amenities.

The village is steeped in history and was the birthplace of Sir Hans Sloane (1660-1753), whose collection formed the basis of the British Museum, British Library, and Natural History Museum. Today, Killyleagh maintains its historic charm while offering visitors excellent facilities and warm Irish hospitality.
