Welcome to the Mews

The Mews are 4 star NITB approved Self-Catering barn conversions. We are a two minute walk from Simmy Bay, an inlet of Strangford Lough. Situated in a designated Area of Outstanding  Natural Beauty, in the heart of County Down.

Our accommodation is a perfect setting for those who want to holiday and relax whilst exploring the beautiful countryside or those visiting family and friends. We are also on the popular route 22 cycle route, with free secure storage for bikes.

The 2 storey barn conversions offer a rural setting, however we are only 30 minutes drive from Belfast City airport, Belfast Harbour and within easy reach of The Kingdom of Mournes. We are also only a two hour drive from Dublin airport.

Killyleagh town is 2 miles away and the local bus stop is a 0.3 mile walk. This quaint little town hosts a superb gastro pub,  The Dufferin Arms, which is famous for the traditional Irish music sessions on a Saturday afternoon, The Smugglers Table restaurant, The Picnic Deli, Killyleagh Castle and Delamont Country Park.


A short drive away takes you to the  ancient town of Downpatrick, the resting place of St Patrick. Also nearby are the quaint villages of Strangford & Portaferry and some of Ireland’s most stunning beaches including Tyrella and Newcastle.


We are the closest accommodation of our kind for Tullyveery House (3 minutes), the Dufferin Coaching Rooms (3 minutes) and Finnebrogue Woods (10 minutes) wedding venues. With the scope to accommodate up to 20 people for your special day.

Stabling is also available on site and tuition can be arranged by Olympic Event rider Joseph Murphy who is based at Strangford View Mews.
